Microneedling vs. Microchanneling
What is Microchanneling?
ProCell Therpaies Microchanneling is a complete system like no other. Rejuvenation through stimulation rather than inflammation is the goal.
Did you know, we're born with a large amount of bone marrow stem cells, and as we age, we lose most of them? By age 50 Only 2% remain in our body. Stem growth factors applied to skin mimic the effect of having more stem cells, and that's exactly what we're doing with microchanneling. In the first stage, microchannels are created, and then the skin heals itself through proliferation and remodeling but we're feeding it cytokines and hyaluronic acid and peptides.
We have discovered that through stimulation of skin, collagen gets stimulated in an excited wound healing state, and collagen produced in a wound healing state is extremely high quality, very similar to the collagen we produced when we were in the utero. That's how perfect it is.
Who is the best candidate for Microchanneling?
Microchanneling is ideal for individuals concerned with aging, fine lines, and acne scarring, however, Microchanneling is a great alternative to injectables.
If you have been considering injectables; such as botox or filler to smooth out fine lines and restore plumpness in your skin, you might want to give microchanneling a try because you will have a plumper, more youthful skin but you will still have expression in your facial muscles. While botox freezes your facial muscles from moving, Microchanneling stimulates more collagen growth resulting in a much more natural appearance.
How many sessions will you need for best results?
Just like anything else, you want to commit to a series of four to six Microchanneling treatments for optimal results. And the best time of year is the fall and winter seasons, because there is a little bit of downtime. Immediately after the treatment, you're going to look and feel as if you've had a mild sunburn, which doesn't last very long.
